Virtual Faculty Development Series

It is the mission of the NCH Department of Medical Education to provide high-quality, up‐to‐date, evidence‐based, and learner‐focused education to students, residents, and fellows. The Faculty Development Seminar Series is one of the hospital's blue chips and is one of the many initiatives of the hospital leadership. In addition, the ACGME and the LCME require that Faculty Development be part of the institution’s culture. These seminar series are created to be a forum for training faculty in teaching, research, leadership, and administration

  • NCH Primary Care Physicians
  • NCH Sub-specialty Physicians

 

Learning Objectives

Following this activity, participants are expected to:

  1. Develop skills in teaching, evaluation, and feedback, and dealing with problem learners
  2. Be able to recognize their own need for continued professional development as a teaching faculty and develop skills in lifelong learning
  3. Be familiar with innovative teaching techniques and requirements from ACGME and LCME related to learners' needs and adult learning theory

Completion Requirements: To complete each Faculty Developent course and earn any of the available credits, learners must complete any Pre-Surveys, watch the session, and complete any Post-Surveys or Activity Evaluations.

Certificate Availability: Registered learners will be able to download their certificates after completing all the required portions of the activity. Learners are only able to earn credits/certificates they are eligible for based on their course registration type and profession. Any available certificates after the completion of these activities may be downloaded directly from your learner transcript.
